*While preparing our front room to paint, I was moving our cat condo out. I set it in front of our coat closet, turned, and smacked my NOSE into the wall so hard I heard it pop. No real damage but wow did that hurt.
*Carrying a pot in from outside (because we're supposed to get frost tonight) I tripped up the stairs. Twice. There's only 5 steps.
*Last weekend, Nate was playing outside at my in-law's cabin. It was a nice day but extremely windy. Their front deck is low to the ground- only about 3 steps. Nate was walking up the stairs and a big gust came and literally blew him off the porch! It was scary at first but when we realized he was ok, Brian was like "Our kid just got blown off the porch! What the hell!"
*Also last weekend, Nate figured out how to take the safety covers out of the outlets. He has a hand mixer that he carries around (sans beaters, thankfully) because doesn't every two year have their own hand mixer? He pulled out a safety cover and plugged in the mixer- which was turned on. I hear "wrrrrrrr" then "WAAAAHHHH!" at which point he wheels around, falls and hits his chin on the bed. I know these specific details because Brian WATCHED the whole thing unfold. Nice job, Super Dad.
And this past weekend was Nate's 2nd birthday party. I didn't get too many pics because I was running around, but these are my 84-year-old grandparents in Backyardigan masks. I think this explains a lot.

Great stories as usual...
I thought of you once when I thought I was putting neosporin on a popped blister and couldn't figure out why it stung like holy he!!. Yeah, because what I thought was neosporin was some pimple cream. Lovely.
I have to admit I had a laugh when you wrote that Nate blew off the porch (once I knew there was no harm to the little guy). What a freak thing. So glad he's okay.
Super Dad - LOVE IT! Poor Nate doesn't stand a chance with you two.....
LOL. You have the best stories. I love the Backyardigans myself. ;)
